Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time with your GP. If your need is urgent, we will try our best to fit you in. Longer consultations for complex health problems, medicals and counselling are available, please ask our receptionists if you require some extra time. If you require an interpreter service, please let us know when making the appointment and we can organise this for you
We now offer a quick, convenient and confidential online booking service. You can find the online booking applet on the Home Page of this website, or download the HotDoc app on your mobile device.
For prescriptions it is encouraged to make an appointment with the GP, however repeat prescriptions may be done without an appointment if the doctor approves.
Charges for this service are:
Standard Repeat Prescription: $25
Authority Repeat Prescription: $30
We are a private billing practice, however we do bulk bill immunisations, health care card holders, pensioners and children under 16. The following charges are a guide for service at this surgery. Please don't hesitate to ask your doctor or receptionist whether other charges apply to you.

To claim your Medicare rebate:
We can now swipe your debit card through our TYRO machine for an instant refund back into your savings or cheque account.
You can take your receipt into Medicare to receive an instant debit card refund.
Payments may be made by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.
**Terms of payment is strictly 30 days from date of service.**
We endeavour to follow up all tests with a face-to-face consultation to explain results, unless another arrangement is made with your doctor.
TELEPHONE AND EMAIL ACCESS
The GP in the practice may be contacted during normal opening hours. If the GP is with a patient, a message will be taken and reception staff will advise you when it is likely that the GP will return your call. In an emergency your call will always be put through to a GP. As part of our commitment to ensure patient privacy is maintained at all times, we have a policy to discourage the receipt of emails with patient content and information as we do not have encryption software installed. Emails will be answered but we encourage patients to telephone of facsimile to communicate with the practice.

Lilydale Family Health Care is not open After Hours, Public holidays or Weekends.

NON-ATTENDANCE PRACTICE POLICY (D.N.A)
Failure to attend appointments without adequate notice (at least 2 hours) - may result in a fee of up to $67.05.

VISITING DOCTORS AND ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
From time to time we may have visiting Locums, Specialists and Allied Health Professionals who may spend some time working with us. We would be grateful if you could accept their presence as an extension of our own.
If you need to see a doctor but are unable to come to the surgery, please try to call before 11AM. Our receptionists will take a few details about your illness to help us plan visits. If you do need a visit at night please identify your house by leaving the light on outside.
Standard Home Visit: $123.00
After Hours Visit (Before 11PM): $181.80
After Hours Visit (After 11PM): $239.00
This practice uses a computerised reminder system to provide systematic preventative care and early case detection using scientifically validated guidelines. Patients of the practice are offered enrolment in our reminder system for care such as: Immunisations, Asthma & Diabetic reviews. Please ask your doctor for more details.
We can now confirm your appointment details via SMS to your mobile phone with your consent. Please let our reception staff know if you would like to receive these reminders.
CONFIDENTIALITY OF YOUR PERSONAL HEALTH INFORMATION
It is policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of staff.
All information in the practice is password protected and backed up.
